top - gets floating point exception with Netatalk installed

hi,

i'm running slackware 3.0 kernel 1.3.80. The netatalk (1.3.3) stuff
seems to be working great! however, when i try to run top it does the
following:

  8:51am  up  1:42,  3 users,  load average: 0.00, 0.24, 0.97
28 processes: 27 sleeping, 1 running, 0 zombie, 0 stopped
CPU states:  4.4% user,  7.1% system, 11.5% nice, 88.5% idle
Mem:      0K av,     0K used,     0K free,     0K shrd,     0K buff
Swap:     0K av,     0K used,     0K free

Floating point exception

is there a better kernel to run then 1.3.80? should i have added the
patches?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Of course you'll still get this error until you upgrade top (as
explained in the kernel release notes).
