sending email w/o having an email server
Is there any way to send an email from the command line without having an
email server?

Does the BSD mail command work with this?  Basically, I'm running a firewall
in which I want to use "logcheck" to email me the logs, but I don't want the
firewall to be funning an email server.

Any suggestions?

Thx,
Joe

Have you considered just using a terminal based email client and
automating the process via a script to send the logs?  Have never
done this, so I don't know if it would work.

You really haven't given enough info about how you're set up to give
anything more specific.
