Is there any way to emulate X-terminal?
There is a program I would like to use, but it must be run on a X
terminal. Is there any way to have my PC emulate X terminal just as it
emulates VT 100, without having to install Linux? (I connect to the
school network via modem.)

Yes there is.  I am writing this on a PC running windows, using XVNN and a
X text editor on a sun system.  We are using PCXware from Network Computing Devices.  It runs under Windoze and uses Windoze as the Windows manager,
translating X calls into Windoze calls.  It is a little quirky but
works well over the net and over dial up lines.
