If you are using korn-shell (/bin/ksh) every command line-commands are
stored in a file called .sh_history wich is placed in $HOME. Starting
vith <esc> you are able to get stored commands by pressing v or k (i.e.
<esc>vvv for the third command). You can search by pressing
<esc>/_search-string_<return>. Use the VI commands.

But first you must type the sommand

set -o vi

Refer to ksh(1) for more information.
