 rcp connection refused

rcp does not use .netrc - so we can ignore that bit

If you are trying to copy as root user the file /etc/hosts.equiv is also

The permissions for .rhosts & /etc/hosts.equiv on beta must have permissions
that allow only the owner to write to the file - so 600 is fine - maybe just
check the owner.

Have you got the os network security feature enabled? - If so this may be
affecting your connection - Check on securetcpip command and tcbk commands and
the /etc/security/config file.

I was plagued with this also install ssh and debug using ssh -v. rcp will
work then also.

whenever someone asks me why I program for NEXTSTEP, as I could be making
a lot more money writing for Windows I tell them "yea, well, I could make
even more money selling crack or robbing banks, but one must maintain a
certain level of dignity"         (Kenneth C.{*filter*},
