 Minor Numbers and importvg
When importing a volume group from one host to
another is the minor number of each logical
volume in the vg ALWAYS the same on the new host
as on the old.

 Minor Numbers and importvg
** good question.  I'm going to GUESS yes. The volume group bozovg is
represented in /dev as  /dev/bozovg  n,0 where n is unique and is 10 for rootvg.
The logical volumes have lvid which are the vgid.# where # is unique and usually
assigned as the lv is created.  That gives you
/dev/lvn  n,1
/dev/lvm  n,2
/dev/lvo  n,3

so I can't imagine why the minor number would change.
