zsh: problem starting zsh xterm after upgrading glibc
Hi all,

After being a happy user for quite some time, zsh doesn't work in xterms
anymore. I.e. when zsh is my default shell (/etc/passwd), xterms
(gnome-terminals, rxvt...) terminate directly after starting them. Zsh still
works fine from text mode consoles, and by type 'zsh' in an xterm that's
started with bash. Also, 'xterm -e zsh' won't work.

I've upgraded to Glibc (2.1.3) on my GNU/Linux 2.4.3 system, and I suspect this
is related. I also suspect it has something to do with login failing somehow.

Does anybody have a suggestion as to how to fix this?
