 Bash redirection not working
I have two bash shell scripts:

script1:
...
echo "Running script1"
./script2
...

script2:
...
echo "Running test_application 4 3 3"
./a.out 4 3 3
...

a.out writes to stdout.
In SunOS 5.7 the redirection does not work.
For example:
script1 > mpe.txt or script1 | tee mpe.txt or even nohup script1 cannot
save the output of script2 and a.out in a file. In Linux the same
scripts work fine.

Thanks

 Bash redirection not working

What ou have posted should work fine. So the problem must be in
what you have *not* posted.

Can you reduce the source code of a.out the minimum which causes
the problem, same with script1 and script2 (because I guess nobody
really wants to look through more than 30 lines of code in order to help you)
and then post those and also post cut-and-pastes of the commands
you typed and responses you got that illustrate it not working, e.g:

        prompt$ script1 > /dev/null
        some-output-which-isn't-being-redirected
        prompt$
