 Arrow keys bindings in tcsh after using vi
I am using TCSH 6.02 and love the great arrow key bindings for the
command history.  However, after I use vi, the arrow keys are no
longer bound and I lose the cool command history...

Any help?

Well, perhaps you should consider changing tcsh to vi mode (invoke
with
    %tcsh -v
)
since that's the editor you use anyway.  Of course, if you choose to
use arrow keys to move the cursor around in vi, and are not used to
the "h" "j" "k" and "l" keys for that purpose, then I guess it
wouldn't make any difference.

Also, the problems you're having with unbinding the arrow keys may
extend to the vi bindings also.

Another possibility is
     tcsh -e
which gives you an emacs-like binding which more people are
comfortable with.  Ctrl-p is equivalent to an up-arrow, and Ctrl-n is
equivalent to a down-arrow.  You may find it even better than the
arrow keys, because you don't have to move your hands off the letter
keys.  === Al
