 Shell Meta-script language?
I'm thinking about writing a program that will let you write a shell
script (.login/.profile whatever) in a meta-syntax, and then "compile down"
to whatever shell flavor you would like.

Has this been done?  It should be.  Being a sysadmin and always having
to write (at least 2) different shell scripts for setting up env vars
is really time consuming.

And if you have a broken shell; even worse.

I suppose I'd be interested in any other similar tools (for example,
Bourne-to-csh translator).  Thanks in advance, and email a reply if you
can (you can post it too :)
