 "host" doesn't work
I have small network on 2 computers, both run with Red Hat 5.1. All of
them has identical files hosts.conf, resolv.conf and hosts. All has
correct routing information. File host.conf contain string "order hosts,
bind". I can use ping, NFS, telnet, rlogin, almost any other services.
Nevertheless, when I use command "host" with name of any of this
computers, I receive message "Host not found". Tell me, please, how
could it be?

 "host" doesn't work

I believe you need a DNS server to run that program.
