This is probably a silly question but here goes..

I have set up Red Hat 8.0 (retail dist) as a dhcp, dns & Samba 2.2.5
server.

If the dhcp server allocates the ip addresses of the windows clients how

can my server be configured to recognise the names of my windows clients

e.g.. how can I ping the host name of one of my windows clients from my
server ?
