CD-R (Recordable CD) support on SCO UNIX?

Does have a CD-R (recordable CD) drive working under SCO UNIX?

A review of the HP drive in a recent SCO Mag said that no UNIX support
was available and HP expected third parties to provide it. We've phoned
Yamaha and they claim UNIX support, but we're not yet sure which flavor,
and what exactly "support" means. Olympus claims support for 5 different
Unices, but not SCO :-(

CD-R (Recordable CD) support on SCO UNIX?

and unix support isnt apparently on anyones hot list. i have optic drivers
that could easily add support for cdr, but upon approaching both hp and
incat/adaptec, my suggestions fell on deaf ears. too bad...
