 Data Parity Error

I have gotten this message while running a character based accounting
program.  Seems to occur frequently when using a cpio command to do a
backup.  Working from a workstation which is running tcp/ip with a
terminal emulation package loaded locally.  Any thoughts would be
appreciated.

 Data Parity Error

In article <341417A4.4DA04...@rdasys.com>, jfgarn...@rdasys.com says...

Hi !

Is this a PANIC message ? If the answer is yes, please double check
your memory SIMMs to see if they have the same specs. If you're in
doubt, change 'em anyway.

Please, next time state your OS name and version and the exact
error message !

Best,
Roberto
