 quick question about linux/adsl compatibility
Hi, when I first installed Linux about a year ago, I realized that there
were no drivers for my soft-modem, and therefore it was overall not very
useful. Now, I have ADSL, and I am wondering if my alcatel 1000/100BT NIC
will work with Linux.

In addition, I'm interested in using Linux to run NAT and firewall
services. Can I get those types of programs with the LPPC distribution?
And how much of an expert will I have to be to patch all the holes?

tia

 quick question about linux/adsl compatibility

Look it up in the Ethernet-HOWTO, there is a list of supported cards &
drivers.
/usr/docs/HOWTO/Ethernet-HOWTO

You don't really want an answer to that question.  I recomend doing some
reading.
