USB Mouse on Beige G3 and linuxppc2000 Q4/X Display
I just installed linuxppp 2000 Q4 on a Beige G3 with a ZIF G4 upgrade
processor (500 MHz) and a four port USB PCI card. I have an ADB mouse and a
logitech USB wheel mouse attached to the Mac. The boot log is shown below:
The ADB mouse works fine but I can't get the USB mouse to work at all. Does
someone know how to get the USB mouse configured or can you direct me to
documentation that might tell me how?
Also, I got my X display to work at higher color resolution by putting 15
into the depth for the monitor. When I put in 16 or 24 the display crashes.
Only 15 seems to work. Any suggestions about how to configure XF86Config?
When I use Xconfigurator it doesn't work. Is there another configuration
tool for XF86Config? How do I tell which version of Xfree that I'm using?
Otherwise, the system is nearly up and running perfectly. I'd like to
remove sendmail from the startup services, and I'd like to configure the
system to recognize a laserprinter which I have attached to the ethernet
port of the Mac. Any help with these issues???
Thanks.
