where to find software that is not pentium specific
OK...so I started using linux about 6 months ago with the main
intention of learning about networking.  I'd like to start using it for
more (3d and audio...the reason I own a computer in the first place).
Unfortunately everything I've come across so far has been pentium
specific and won't compile on my G3.  I've been able to get other types
of applications (mostly networking apps) to compile but the graphics
and audio software never work.  Actually that's not true...Blender and
the GIMP work fine.  If anyone out there knows of anything that will
work on a mac or if you've been able to get the pc stuff to
compile...I'd really appreciate the help.
