 Boot LinuxPPC via MkLinux booter?

In article <35865F77.8EA4E...@earthlink.net>,

Yeah, I wonder the same thing, sort of. Perhaps there doesn't need to be any
hack, since the extension/control panel deals with OF directly (?) in a
similar way to the BeOS startup extension. (??) On the other hand, maybe
we're the ones who need to test this possibility, and find out...

No, I have tried switching the kernels (changed file types too), changed
the disk setup in simple text (ie Mk -> LinuxPPC style).  The Kernel
that the Mk loads has some Mac resources too (copied those as well).
Maybe if I had the source code AND a compiler...
This OpenFirmware (1.0.5) is the pits, nothing like having to zap PRAM
every other day...

The source code for the Mach kernel is available.  Check out
ftp://ftp.mklinux.apple.com/pub/wip.  The booter source isn't avaiable, but if
you know enough about this stuff (I don't), I would imagine the startup
technique used in the mach kernel could be retrofitted to linuxppc.  Caveat:
I'm not an OS engineer.

Good luck, and I'd love to see it pulled off as well.  I've got a powercenter
with early OF as well.
