 Hide Password in a script
Hi All,

I want to create a script that internally does a su to another user,
takes password from a hidden file and takes the user that executed the
script to the log which is required to be viewed.

something like...

su - user_that_can_read_log

< take password from a hidden file say ./.pwd

go to the required sub folder

do a tail to the log...

Pls help !!

Thanks in Advance

You dont want to pass a password to su, you are searching for sudo. ;-)

(This can be solved with RBAC too, maybe)
