hello all solaris gurus,

does anybody know if solaris 8 comes with a built-in sasl library? if
not, is cyrus a good sasl library to use?

I'm not aware of a built-in SASL library.  I compiled Cyrus-SASL for use
with Sendmail and it runs perfectly.

Solaris 8. However, SUNWsasl is a requirement for Sun Directory Server
5.2 on Solaris 9 platform.
