 SunOne directory+Calendar server code examples?

Anyone got some example code (pref php) that does "clever" things with the
SunOne directory/calendar server?

I have just installed both so that a few people can have a quick look to
see if they are a possible Exchange type solution but the included tools
seem minimal. I have go the resource kit but thats all jsp stuff and I
don't have a server for that at the mo.

In particular, perl and php would be interesting. As far as I can see,
out of the box there is no tool to enable a user to change their passwd
for example. Not knowing a whole lot about LDAP (yet!) some sample code
would be useful to get started!

Can't find much out on the web (which is ominous...)

Get the Sun blueprint book, titled more or less implementing
ldap in the enterprise or such.

Haven't been there in a while but hopefully the iPlanet developer's
connection website is still alive.  I stole ^H^H^H^H borrowed some
   stuff from there.

There is some stuff. Not a huge amount though (at least, not that I
can find). I'll take another look.

I was just surprised that there was so little available out there. Plenty
of others must have started with simple little scripts  - I guess they
just don't want to/can't share them :-(
