 Associate Director of Systems Services
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Georgia Tech Foundation, Inc. is accepting
applications for the Associate Director of Systems Services. The Associate
Director will be responsible for managing the Foundation's computer network
and system services area. The Associate Director reports to the Director of
Information Systems and Reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities include managing UNIX and Windows
systems running Solaris/ORACLE, MSSQL, IIS and Apache web servers, file
servers, e-mail, LDAP, systems and network applications using TCP/IP
protocol. Additional responsibilities include computer/database/network
security, Veritas Netbackup and recovery, system and network monitoring and
troubleshooting, hardware and software acquisition, upgrade, configuration
and maintenance, performance tuning, capacity planning, user account
administration, coordination of system changes and supervising a staff of
two.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree is required, graduate degree is desirable;
Minimum of 5 years experience supporting Solaris, client server systems,
multiple computer platforms, application development, and networking
technology is highly desirable;
Demonstrated experience in developing creative information technology
solutions to problems;
Proven ability to manage mission critical production systems;
Supervisory experience desirable;
Ability to work with diverse populations.
SALARY RANGE: $60k to $70k
