Solaris 9 4/04, picld errors
I just started to install Solaris 9 4/04 (SPARC) on a few of my machines,
and noticed the following error on first boot after installation on
all Blade 100/150 workstations:
picld[61]: [ID 402514 daemon.warning] SUNW_piclenvd: can't open 'cpu' sensor
path:/pci@1f,0/pmu@3/i2c@0,0/temperature@30:die_temp errno:2
No such file or directory
picld[61]: [ID 402514 daemon.warning] SUNW_piclenvd: can't open 'cpu-ambient'
sensor path:/pci@1f,0/pmu@3/i2c@0,0/temperature@30:amb_temp errno:2
No such file or directory
picld[61]: [ID 800427 daemon.crit] SUNW_piclenvd: initialization failed!
This results in 'prtdiag -v' not showing any environmental status
(temperatures, fan speed).
I'm not sure if this matters, but the path in the error message in fact
differs from the real path:
/pci@1f,0/pmu@3/i2c@0,0/temperature@30:die_temp
/devices/pci@1f,0/pmu@3/i2c@0/temperature@30:die_temp
The missing /devices might be OK, but the missing ",0" for i2c maybe
is not.
I couldn't find anything on SunSolve, so I'd like to know if this
is a known bug, if anyone else has seen it, and most important, if
there's a fix ?
