Not really a Solaris question but I'm trusting you guys a lot
more.

I'm looking for a piece of software that does the same thing
as crypt(3) on Solaris. Only it has to work on a windows machine

I hope some of you have a pointer to a piece of source-code that
is windows-proof. Or something like that. I could rewrite Glibc
from Gnu but I think there must be a working thing out there.

What a perceptive gentleman you are. Solaris users & admins
are more trustworthy than their Wintel equivalents. Now there is
an interesting thought.

I believe that crypt() is provided as part of ActivePerl for WIN32.
See www.activestate.com for more details. Not exactly what you
want, but it could be one way to crack the problem.
