
Ifmail 2.8 - FidoNet mailer and gateway for U*IX platform
Ifmail is a set of FidoNet(tm) compatible transport and gateway
programs, running on multiple U*IX platforms (Linux, FreeBSD, SCO, SVR4,
SunOS and others). In cooperation with typical U*IX e-mail and netnews
packages, it allows to make a FidoNet node (or point) on a machine
running U*IX.
The package is BETA, use it on your own risk.
ifmail-2.8.tar.gz (220 K) should be soon available at:

This is mainly a maintenance and bugfix release.
Changes from 2.7:
1. Fixes and cleanups.
2. Dialing timeouts are run-time configurable.
3. Plug-in opendir()/readdir() implemetation for some systems.
4. Support for 57600 and 115200 speeds (if your system have them).
5. (Optional) support for "magic name" for more traditional
gatewaying from fidonet to internet.
