I've just uploaded 'mpeg' to sunsite.unc.edu (152.2.22.81) in the directory
/pub/Linux/Incoming.  The files are:

    mpeg_util.tgz  - an archive containing the source, manpage, MPEG specs, and
                     a binary

    mpeg_util.lsm - an LSM entry for this utility

'mpeg' is a utility for encoding/decoding MPEG animation files.  NOTE: this is
_not_ a player, for that you probably want mpeg_play (from UCB).  This utility
will take raw frames (in YUV format (see ppmtoyuvsplit)), and create an MPEG
from them; or take an MPEG and spit out the individual frames it is composed
of.  Either way expect to eat up a bunch of disk space.

This is the toy.. what we're waiting for now is Linux's Funnies Home Movies.
