 Won't boot
I just installed FreeBSD 4.7 on my AMD K6-2 200 (40GB IDE drive).

Everything went well up until I removed all the disks and rebooted; when
the bootloader came up it dumped a page of debug information at me and
informed me that BTX failed.

Did I set the wrong partition as bootable? I picked 'use all' and set the
FreeBSD partition to be bootable with the second option in the 'choose
bootloader' screen.

Any help would be much appreciated!

 Won't boot

comp.unix.bsd.freebsd is not widely propagated, so you won't
necessarily get much help here.
See http://www.freebsd.org/support.html for better ideas...
[followups redirected accordingly]

Is that the only disk in the system?
Do you have any other OS present?
If not, did you have a particular reason for installing a bootloader?

Does:

boot  -c /kernel

work?
