Just for testing have you tried to set your firewall to "open" in rc.firewall and
see if natd works? There are some conditions where natd & ipfw doesn't work well
together.

 Trouble with natd

Well I'm not sure but I did next steps:

I add next two strings to my kernel:
options         IPFIREWALL
options         IPDIVERT

rebuild kernel

after that I add to rc.conf:
firewall_enable="YES"
firewall_type="open"

after that I created /etc/natd.conf with:
same_ports      yes
use_sockets     yes

next step in /etc/rc.conf:
natd_enable="YES"
natd_interface="ppp0"
natd_flags="-f /etc/natd.conf"

but I've got some trouble with interface ppp0 .... it doesn't work correct :(

so I'm very upset!

Thanx!

Not sure about ppp but try adding this line to your /etc/rc.conf file:

gateway_enable="YES"

Also have you added the following line to your ppp.conf file?

nat enable yes

Happy to see that you get your NAT working! :-) Good luck with sendmail and don't
forget to read about the macro file. It will save you alot of time. For squid
proxy i strongly recommend that you get the package from the freebsd ftp site. Be
ready to spend alot of time to go trought his long laborious configuration
file... :-)

Why do you need to run NAT and Squid proxy on the same machine? It is only to
learn all that stuff?
