 FAT CR/LF conversion
I have a floppy disk wich I mount using:

mount -tvfat /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy -oconv=auto

When I copy a text file (file.log) to the floppy using cp, the NL->CR/LF
conversion isn't performed, the destination file is identical to the source

Am I right in thinking this conversion should be performed for cp?
If so, any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

[kernel 2.4.1, cp (GNU fileutils) 4.0x]

 FAT CR/LF conversion

wasn't -o conv=auto (with space in between) ?

Teorically yes

only the 'space' thing (if it isn't a mistype).

AFAIK, cp does'nt do such conversions. You can get unix2dos, make the
conversion and then copy.

I've tried with and without a space and get the same behaviour.

04 Apr 2001 11:47 UTC, Chris West did say to the dudes:

Try 'mount -t vfat -o conv=auto /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy'
'mount -t vfat -o conv=a /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy'
