SCSI CD-ROM to UNIX install problem

I have a problem with "Interactive Unix System V/386 Release 3.2".

I know this is a LINUX group, but I couldn't find a more appropriate one.

I am trying to install a 32x speed SCSI CD-ROM drive (Toshiba XM 6201 B)
onto an Adaptec AHA 1740/42A SCSI system.

My computer is a Compaq Deskpro 66m (4/86 66MHz).

After booting SCSI recognizes the device OK. But my Unix (see above) doesnt
know anything about it.

I tried to use "mount", but no success (I probably didnt do it right).

There was no driver disk to the CD-ROM drive.

How do I install it properly ?

What do I need ?

Help please !!
