 NYC LOCAL: Thursday 16 August 2001 NYSIA Open Source SIG: Joseph McElroy Introduces the New SIG

"An Introduction to the NYSIA Open Source SIG"

NYSIA's newest SIG, the NYSIA Open Source SIG, will explore successful
business models and enterprise solutions that depend upon or employ Open
Source Software, plus current and future development of Open Source
Software. Joseph McElroy, CEO of Everyday Office (a leading provider of Open
Source based solutions), will moderate the group.

Moderator: Joseph McElroy is CEO and Founder of Everyday Office, Inc.
Everyday Office is a leading NYC-based provider of Open-source based
enterprise solutions. Prior to this, Joseph was CEO of McElroy Consulting
Associates, Inc. Projects he led included development of a Web-enabled
application for New York Life that helped manage the recruitment of new
managers to NYL. He is the former CEO of Fine Arts & Software, Inc., and
started his career with IBM, where he led the creation of an Internet
interface to the IBM proprietary SNA network.
