 append="mem=128M"
Hi all.
 I recently installed Oracle on my Linux box, and decided to upgrade the
RAM from 64MB to 128MB. I installed the memory, then in the
/etc/lilo.conf file I added the following line:
append="mem=128M", and rebooted. When I execute the free -m command, I
still get a reading of 64MB. I know the bios reads the new memory,
because when the computer boots up ( before the lilo boot: ) The system
reads 131MB. Am I missing something?
Thanx,
Cecil Hypolite

 append="mem=128M"

did you run lilo after changing /etc/lilo.conf and before rebooting?

 append="mem=128M"
Maybe a dumb question, but did you run lilo to write the /etc/lilo.conf
information into the MBR ?
