SuSE Linux on the front of PC Plus

Indeed.  Red Hat was on the cover of a UK magazine about 18 months
ago.

Some reporter for the Guardian (or was it the Telegraph?) gave it a
poor review (the article title was "Linux: The PC Program from Hell?")
and there fllowed much personal flamage against the author of the
article, who followed the next week with an article about this flaming
and how childish Linux proponents were.  This was something that a
quick reading of the Linux Advocacy-HOWTO could have prevented.

Followups redirected to uk.comp.os.linux.
