Actually, just a thought since there seems to be that same old "Screw
Linux, I'm going back to Windows" thread still going 'round. :)

some people dont belong in Linux, i hate to say. for the patient and
intelligent that stick with Linux will be rewarded many times over.

switching back to micros~1 would be similar to removing half the
cylinders in your car's engine and taking the doors off - it will
run like {*filter*}and you're susceptible to the elements (such as virii).

Havent booted into any M$ trash all year myself, and my box happily sings
along running Mandrake 8.2 as a primary, Mandrake 9.0rc3 as a "toy", and
Gentoo for seriuos fun :), all the while serving up the 'net for my LAN
among other repetitive tasks without so much as a hiccup. I too am of the
opinion that in general the "mindless masses: surely do not belong (nor
desreve) a real OS such as any Open Source offering. Somewhere along the
line everyone forgot that time invested in something yeilds greater
satisfaction and results in the real world than throwing good money after
bad.
