I am running tightvnc 1.2.7 under RH8.0/Linux 2.4.20 with the Gnome
desktop.

I find that every once in a while, all of my xterms and some
(but not all) of my other open windows will suddenly and without
warning disappear. This same configuration has been rock stable when
running gnome directly from the console.

Note that the vnc server and viewer themselves are unaffected and I am
able to immediately open new xterms and apps without interruption.

Any thoughts on what might be going on here?
