Newbie question 03 - Whichever console I go system messages pop up
Hello!
Many processes in the system write messages on console on some events.
If I am with a full screen tool (Midnight Commander, ee etc) they pop up
in the middle of things, it is boring, nor I can read the messages well,
that can be precious.

Changing to another console (Ctr-Alt-F2..F3...) doesn't help.

How works this?

Thanks.

If you are logged on as root at the console log messages will be
redirected to your screen. One option is to not log on as root,
except when you need to. The other is to edit /etc/syslogd.conf
and change the configuration.

... and when you need it, log as normal user then use "su".
