hello, everybody who are using sb16 and Luiji's sound software
installed.
I have some question about it, following is what i meet:
1. my sb16 works well with Voxware, then I installed a
   netcard, NE2100 compatible, after make and make install,
   kernel recognize netcard, but tell me:
        sb0 not found at 0x220
        sbmidi0 not found
        sbxvi0 not found
    it can not catch my sb16, I do not know why.
2. then I installed Luiji's sound card software, and insert
    the pcm0 statement in my config file, when I reboot it,
    it tell me:
       pcm1 port irq drq ........ ( the argument are all right!)
        .
        .
        .
       pcm0 not found at 0xffffffff
 why?

Because it's being detected by the pnp code.  That's how it works, and as
it was explained to me, it'd take a lot of work to change it.

Remove /dev/mixer* /dev/sequencer* /dev/dsp* /dev/audio* /dev/dspW*
/dev/music* /dev/pss*, then cd to /dev, ./MAKEDEV snd1, and symlink all of
the above to mixer.  i.e. /dev/mixer should be a symlink to /dev/mixer1
(or whatever N is in pcmN).

Wrap your lines correctly please.

I've just done exactly the same (I have a Vibra16x PnP), and I get a
sound, but it's crappy with lotsof noise. When I play something, f.ex. a
mp3, I get this message: "/kernel: WARNING: rdintr but read DMA inactive!"
